Many people consider that the Navitimer Series is the most classic series of the Breitling watch, well, as a watch collector, I agree with that. The most important reason that makes this series so famous, in my opinion, besides its noble blood and complicated tailoring, is that it can be easily identified. Well, many guys will say that the Aeromarine also has classic models such as the Acenger, who has a huge strong body, it’s easy to identify,too. However, the entire Navitimer series are easily recognized. The Navitimer series has 8 styles so far. But all of these 8 styles are equipped with the most characteristic Breitling slider flight calculation. There is no ratch slider and it can be a two-way slide. The damping is very uniform and comfortable.
At the meanwhile, in Bretling, there are some complicated fuctions only can be found in Navitimer series, such as calendar and moon phase. We can say that the Navitimer is the flagship series.
While, although Navitimer has so many advantages, we can not say it’s perfect. The weak performance in water-resistance depressed many people. 30 meters water-resistance is not a ideal condition. That means, you must remove your Navitimer when you wash your hands. I have not study the reasons for this carefully. We can not personally think that the technically is not overcome, but for a balance purpose. After all, this is the most eye-catching style in all Breitling watch. If we do it too "perfect", then hundreds of other models will be afraid of the flagship series, and sales will be affected by it, and the Navitimer series will further increase their prices. I think I may not be fully in line with the market positioning of the current Breitling. After all, There is a expensive Bentley Series in the Breitling.
